    In this paper, an ESR continuous casting system was introduced. The consumable electrode was transmitted alternately with two sets of nut-screw pair, each transmission pair equipped clamp-on gripper. The system controlled under a combination of single-chip microcomputer and programmable logical controller. With automatic control circuit and sensors, the consumable electrode can achieve continuous, automatic feed alternatively. Practical application shows that the system is stable and reliable, and electrode feed smoothly, casting current is steady. Through the use of special mould, complex electroslag castings can be cast out.
