    Air bending processes are analyzed in JCO forming for X80 welded pipe using plane strain element by the Finite Element Analysis Software Abaqus. In bending deformation, the springback is various for different punch radius and the final pipe geometries obtained are influenced. The residual stress and equivalent plastic strain distributions after unloading for five punch radius is discussed using static implicit algorithm for the sheet of 3720 × 22 × 12000 mm. Through the comparison to industry practice in manufacturing the FEM analysis show reasonable. Simultaneously an algebraic equation is derived for the final forming angle for given punch radius, and can be used to predict process parameters and guide the production practice.
