Abstract :
With the great development of multimedia applications, providing QoS guarantee for Ad Hoc networks is very important. Based on the analysis of local information such as node congestion, node collision impacting on QoS routing, the QoS-aware Multipath Routing (QAMR) Protocol based on local information was proposed to provide QoS guarantee for Ad Hoc networks. The protocol takes bandwidth as the QoS parameter, and considers handling capacity of effective paths and guaranteeing QoS of service by introducing node utilization factor and path utilization factor. The algorithm of route discovery/maintenance in the protocol is just extension of DSR protocol. Simulation result and analysis show that the QAMR protocol has good performance in either static topology or dynamic topology.
