After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.

This article provides a profile of the present situation and problems of advanced distance learning in China. China´s economic progress is parallel with its development of distance education. Distance education is playing a role unprecedented in enhancing popularization of education than ever before. Some benefits are listed while some challenges are discussed.
