Abstract
Many real-world networks are discovered to be complex networks in the last few years. The statistical characteristic of software development network in which people are engaged and its significance are investigated. It is shown that software development network has properties of small world, and scale free. We demonstrate difference between the distribution of incoming and outgoing links of directed networks. The incoming link distribution has sharp cutoff that is lower than that of the outgoing link distribution. This asymmetry is caused by the dynamical interactions that take place in distributed software development and may be related to differences between each designer´s capacity of processing information provided by others and the designer´s capacity of transmitting information to others.
