    Energy optimization design is an effective way to reduce the energy consumption of product and improve the energy efficiency. A method of energy optimization based on design unit is put forward in the use age of products. The method takes the product as a set of design units and realizes energy optimization by the design of design units and the design of the interface between design units. Based on the introduction of the concept of design unit, the design information that correlates with energy consumption was described, and then the energy consumption model was established. Thereby, energy design factor was extracted and energy factors model was set up. Finally the design frame for energy optimization process was analyzed in detail.
