The connection between heat transfer in rotary kiln and the change of structure parameters and operation parameters was discussed. The mathematical model of one-dimensional and steady-state heat transfer for the rotary kiln was established and the temperature field was calculated. The results show that adjusting the Coal-fired capacity is a comparatively effective measure in controlling roasting, while increasing the length of kiln, decreasing the diameter of kiln and increasing the rotating speed can strengthen the pellet roasting to some extent in the restricted condition.
