To improve the efficiency of the jet engine we should have higher temperature in the engine hot section. In the past there was a significant progress in the material for this application. First, superalloys are proposed and in recent days several type of composite materials are shown to have better material properties compared to the superalloys. But, It should be mentioned that these new materials have some disadvantageous. Selecting the best material will not be easy considering these contradictory conditions. There are several systematical methods to select the best material. Digital Logic (DL) method, Modified Digital Logic (MDL) method, and Z-transformation are some of the quantitative ones. In this paper, these methods are used to find the best material for a jet engine.
