Abstract :
This paper proposes a flexible workflow management system (WfMS) model based on ontology through analyzing the architecture and generic knowledge of workflow management systems. The paper specially gives the composition principle of flexible workflow management system and proposes the formal description of workflow ontology. At last this paper gives the composition algorithm and an example which uses this workflow model. The practice proves that this model has good flexibility, and can meet most of the users´ requirements.
