Abstract :
Data mining is the process of analyzing data to discover patterns and relationships, which allows users to analyze data from many different dimensions or angles, categorize it, and summarize the relationships identified. A technology roadmap (TRM) is an efficient data mining approach for technology innovation, guidance by customizing, to foresee and choose critical technologies for companies. Recently, TRM is popular in American, Japan and UK, and so on. However, few researching and practical guidelines are offered in China. Accordingly, the main purpose of this research is to provide guidances for industrial technology roadmap to technology innovation. Specially, this paper explains the overall process and specific technology roadmap building process in detail through a case example of heavy-duty and large-size CNC machine tool industry in Hubei.
