Abstract :
We consider discone antennas for Ultra Wide Band (UWB) applications. Knowledge of the phase center location of UWB antennas is important for pulse transmission/reception, as the movement of the phase center will distort the signal. We introduce a method for phase center computation which is almost analytical and does not require optimization. This method is applied for investigating the UWB phase center location of discone antennas.
