Abstract
The experimental fabrication of an all-fiber optical add-drop filter based on optical fiber Bragg grating assisted mismatched coupler using the fused biconical tapered technology is demonstrated. The full-width at half maximum of filter´s bandwidth is 1.5nm, the side mode suppression ratio is better than 22dB, the echo power loss is -13.21dB and the drop filtering efficiency as much as 95.5% at 1553.8nm is achieved.
