Abstract
In this paper, we describe a method for single-shot measurement of the full spatiotemporal electric field of a freely propagating terahertz pulse based on electro-optic (E-O) sampling technique and pulsed digital holography. From a captured digital hologram, we could numerically recover the complete THz electric field E(x, y, t) by a reconstruction algorithm. The spatial and temporal resolutions are limited by the resolution of the detector and the probe pulse duration respectively. The validity of the proposed method is verified through numerical simulation.
