Abstract
The relations between the positions, intensity of correlation peaks and the positions of target in input images and in template images have been analyzed in this paper. According to the rules, we think the centroid of targets should be located in the origins of the template images while making matched filters, because the correlation peak value will be the biggest under the circumstances. In addition, the positions of correlation peaks can be predefined while debugging the optical correlation system according to the rules, and the positions of filters can be adjusted to realize the quick aim of filters according to the intensity in the positions of correlation peaks.
