Abstract
In this work, we study the time-reversal antenna arrays for through-the-wall sensing scenarios using ultrawideband electromagnetic waves. Specifically, we show through simulation that the use of differential time-domain signals can be used for localization of the object movement. The differential signals of interest are obtained by comparing the signals received at the time-reversal arrays corresponding to different positions of the moving object. This is particularly helpful in scenarios where secondary scatterers have similar or stronger scattering strengths as compared to that of the moving object.
