Abstract
A new architecture of IP over WDM optical network is introduced, it is based on time-division and wave-division multiplexing switching. Congestion probability and optimal number of available wavelengths of this network are analyzed. In order to solve bottleneck, we present a scheme named random access algorithm, the performance of this algorithm is calculated. Our evaluation indicates that it is an efficient way to solve bottleneck and improve the usage of wavelength channels with low latency.
