  • Abstract
The contribution treats the topic of automated system of reconstruction of the shape of 3D objects. There are different methods of reconstruction of 3D objects or 3D scene. In contribution presented system belongs to the category of the active methods of reconstruction enabling to gain model of the object, whose geometrical dimensions in ideal case correspond with real object dimensions. For the purpose of reconstruction laser source of plane beam that creates light spot on the scanning object was used. The light spot was taken by the colour CCD camera. The reconstructed object was situated on the outdoor pan/tilt scanner head enabling object rotating toward the camera ranging from 0° to 350°. The advantage of this method is the fact that it is possible to accomplish 3D reconstruction only by one camera. Presented principle is used in many applications, for instance in the diagnostics and in checking the quality production.
