Abstract :
An improved rate control scheme for H.264/AVC based on SATDc(QP)-R model is proposed in this paper. After analyzing the relationship between SATDc(QP) and the source bit rate (R) sufficiently, we fully use the information of current frame and current block to determine QP of current block. And then a more accurate rate control algorithm is derived. Furthermore, a fast quantization method is also proposed in this paper. Using proposed quantization method, 80% or more computational cost can be saved. The experiment results show that proposed rate control method can obtain a good subjective quality of decoding video with low computational cost.
