Abstract
Mobile ad hoc networks and peer-to-peer networks share an important characteristic of self-organization. Due to the common nature, it is natural and attractive for peer-to-peer networks to be deployed on MANET. However, for their some different features, there is lots of work to research in P2P MANET, such as architecture, resource discovery strategy, resource dissemination strategy, security and privacy mechanism. This paper proposes a new resource discovery algorithm based on locality theory over mobile P2P networks. Locality theory includes spatial locality, temporal locality and content locality. It organizes nodes into different groups based on their content locality and every node broadcasts its information to all spatially local nodes. Every node also records those nodes having hot resources based on temporal locality. When issues a query, a node sends it to those nodes whose subject is according to the query´s subject. The simulation experiments prove the performance of this algorithm.
