Abstract
Network lifetime optimization is a critical issue in energy-constrained and error-prone wireless video sensor networks. Multipath routing based network coding can effectively solve the packet loss problem in which only a relatively small proportion of energy is consumed. In this paper, we study the network lifetime optimization model in wireless video sensor networks by jointly optimizing the source rates, the link rates, the video encoding power and the network coding power. Using Lagrange duality, a decentralized algorithm is proposed to solve the target convex optimization problem. Through numerical simulations, the convergence and performance of the proposed algorithm are demonstrated.
