Abstract :
The traditional downhole tool experimental teaching has problems of poor teaching results, poor learner autonomy, not conducive for oil field staff to carry out continuing education, etc. Virtual laboratory and remote education were combined to build a new experimental teaching model, which provides an effective solution to above problems, achieving the purposes of autonomous learning of students in school and remote training of oil field staff. The key technologies in developing remote downhole tool virtual lab were described in detail from the aspects of network structure, experimental contents, interface and interaction design, and realization and release. Practical application showed that the virtual lab played an important role in experimental teaching and achieved good effects.
