Study on constraint-based texture synthesis

Texture synthesis has been an active research topic of computer graphics,vision,and image processing ,it has been well studied in recent years. while the constraint-based texture synthesis texture is the more meaningful direction of the synthesis technologies. Constraint synthesis refers to fix a number of points or some textures around the target area and carry out texture synthesis to the target region , which is mainly applies to high precision requirements such as image inpainting, artistic style analogy and other occasions. Given in this paper is an overview of the state of the constraint-based texture synthesis and several typical approaches are described and analysed. finally, some existing problem and future work are discussed.
