User expectations of the design of a map-based mobile guide system for public arts

Abstract

Studies on map-based mobile guides are quite popular in recent years. Due to the limitations of mobile devices, the design of the functions and learning content on mobile devices are much more complicated than those on traditional e-learning systems. The aim of this paper attempts to understand the expectations of participants on the function and content design of map-based mobile guides. We conducted a questionnaire survey of students and staff of a college campus in northern Taiwan, and we got the results by using statistical methods to analyze the data.
