Abstract :
This paper presents a novel method to locate container code characters. This method is based on top-hat transformation and gray beep points. Our aim is to locate the position of container characters, to prepare for the segment and recognition of container characters. It has to deal with outdoor images. This work is part of a higher order project whose aim is automation of the entrance of a port.
