Abstract :
The immune genetic algorithm is widely used in electric power system for its unique characteristics, and it can identify the fault components accurately and can quickly identify the fault zone through the fault hypothesis. Then the results of fault diagnosis could be shown by using of simulation programs and simulation examples. The experimental results show that the use of immune genetic algorithm to build a mathematical model can find the fault location and fault diagnosis area accurately, and further, the algorithm is simple and can be implemented by hardware easily. So it is helpful for the electric power systems because of the strong theoretical and technical basis be provided in failure component diagnosis.
