Abstract :
This paper presents a meshless virtual boundary least-square collocation method for the two dimensional elastic problems, which is based on the basic idea of the virtual boundary element method (VBEM) and the point interpolation method (PIM). The compactly supported radial basis function (CSRBF) is used to construct the virtual source function, which makes the shape function matrices sparse and have the property of delta function. The novel numerical method shares advantages of both the meshless method and VBEM. In the end, several numerical examples are performed to demonstrate the performance of this method, and numerical results show that this method has fast convergence and high accuracy.
