Abstract
Based on the two-dimensional optimal velocity model, a new model is proposed by considering the occupying space of pedestrian. The stability of homogenous flow in the model is investigated with both linear stability analysis and numerical simulations. And a noncollision rule is tested in the counter flow. From the results, considering the occupying space of pedestrian will reduce the stable area of pedestrian flow and the noncollision rule is helpful to improve the stability in the simulation of counter flow.
