Abstract :
The in-service inspection is necessary for pressure vessel. The hard environment requires the device holding some of necessary characters, such as simple structure, convenient mounting, enough stability and light mass etc. The automatic ultrasonic testing device was equipped permanent magnet which performed the adsorption and circular motion of the scanner in cylinder´s working surface. According to the actual requirement of work environment, this system employed ultrasonic board and notebook computer to realize data acquisition. The random position was got through magnetic wheel which adsorp force and keep the stabilization. On the basis advantages of modular design method, the main body of the scanner was introduced in detail. The scanner mounted on the main body and the appropriate arm can achive the trace of ultrasonic wave detector. The dissertation studied the static stability of the scanner for pressure vessel loop welds.
