Abstract :
This paper presents some results of studying the effect of the size of the corrugated edges of the tapered slot antenna (TSA) with elliptical taper on its radiating characteristics. Planar antennas with dimensions of 235 to 120 mm have been simulated in the free space and in the presence of dielectric medium in the near field. The modeling and near field monitoring has been performed using numerical method implemented in CST Microwave Studio software. The effect of the width of the corrugated area on the antennas edges in the range of 5 to 50 mm has been studied by computer simulations and experiments.
