Abstract :
A new 1×2 and a 1 × 4 wideband aperture coupled microstrip array antennas, to work in Ku and K bands, are presented in this paper. The array antennas have VSWR < 2 from 11.4 - 23.8 GHz. The gain of the 1×2 array antenna is above 10 dB from 11.4 - 17.8 GHz and the 1×4 array has more than 12 dB gain within 11.3 - 17.3 GHz. Additionally, by using a 2×4 array antenna more than 16 dB gain is obtained at the frequency range of 11.5 - 17.2 GHz. The 1×4 array antenna was fabricated in which, good agreement is obtained between simulation and experimental results.
