Abstract :
In case of the vortex pump, the paper simulated numerical value of three dimensional flow field under turbulence incompressible condition, applying Pro/E to sculpt the model, adopting SIMPLEC algorithm, RNG k-ε turbulence model and partitioning non-structure hex grid in the area of flow passage in the pump. The paper obtained distribution of velocity and pressure in whirl cavity of vortex pump, and gave some flow regulation in whirl cavity through analyzing simulate result. The results are useful to perfect theory on design and optimize design to vortex pump. Meanwhile, the results can be regarded as a kind of theoretical information in vortex-pump research.
