Abstract
DEA method is used in this paper to measure the electric energy efficiency of 29 regions in China from 2000 to 2008. And then Panel Data model is used to test the determinants of the electric energy efficiency in China. The result shows that the efficiency in different regions has big difference, and the R&D expenditures, the proportion of secondary industry in GDP, the price index of materials, fuel and power are negatively related with the electric energy efficiency, and per capita GDP is positively related with the electric energy efficiency.
