Abstract :
This paper introduces the measuring procedure by ATOS by measuring the cab contour of a truck. ATOS raster scanner is one of the most advanced three-dimensional scanning systems. It pieces together the many scanned views through reference points. Fast measuring of the cab contour is a key link in the design of a cab. It can convert a solid model into a digital one. ATOS raster scanner can achieve the point cloud data of the cab covering curve rapidly, and process it directly. In actual application, it effectively meets the technique need of bringing forth new products rapidly.
