Abstract :
In this paper, the efficiency of base transceiver station (BTS) sites of Mobile Telecommunication Company is evaluated, using data envelopment analysis. The data envelopment analysis (DEA) is based on the linear programming model. This method needs a series of information by which the effectiveness and ineffectiveness of decision making units will be determined. In this article, the inputs and outputs of DEA model are determined by providing basic criteria and the effectiveness of BTS sites of Iran Mobile Telecommunication Company in one of the Iranian provinces is specified. For this purpose, to evaluate the effectiveness of BTS sites deap2 software is used. Finally, based on the results of the study, the efficient and inefficient sites are identified and classified. The classifications of site effectiveness include valuable information by which it is possible to decide on establishing or not establishing BTS sites.
