Abstract :
Fountain is a part of virtual city scene. This paper describes a method of fountain simulation based on particle system. Based on the analysis of the motion of fountain, motion fields of fountain are simplified, which makes the fountain simulation easier. To make the fountain simulation more vivid, the paper realizes the water wave effect after the particle dropped into the water. In addition, we also add skybox and the sound of fountain, which make the simulation more realistic not only from your sense of sight but also your sense of hearing. The proposed algorithm can be easily integrated into simulation of natural scenery.
