Abstract
Energy Crisis is currently a common problem all over the world. Building energy consumption takes a significant part of energy consumption, so data collection and analysis is of great importance to the design of rational energy-saving strategy, the improvement of energy-utilizing efficiency, the implementation of energy conservation and emission reduction, and so on. Sensors are the basic components of building energy consumption detection, but sensors of different bus standard and manufacturers still can not be used in the same detection system. To overcome this deficiency, modularized method is introduced and sensor-based middleware is developed. In this paper, the definition and classification of middleware is introduced; then, much work has been done to design the sensor-based middleware using modularization method; finally, the tests are finished. Tests indicate that taking advantage of sensor-based middleware, sensors can output data through RS485, CAN232, Ethernet, RS232 interfaces, which provides a technical route for the openness and interchangeability of sensors of building energy consumption detection.
