Abstract :
In this study, to improve the efficiency of the container terminal and to reduce the total energy consumption, a rule-based joint berth allocation and quay crane assignments model has been developed based on rolling-horizon approach. Further, the optimization rules and algorithm has been proposed and discussed in details. The feasibility and effectiveness of the developed rules have been verified by the case study conducted.
