Abstract :
With shipping market fierce competition increasing, the traditional handling technology of bulk terminal yard can not meet the requirements of low-cost and high-efficiency. The 3D visualization technology is an important method to achieve the human-computer interaction, which can be used for improving handling efficiency and reducing operation cost of bulk terminal yard with the real time feedback information. Combined with the handling work flow of bulk terminal, this paper gives a novel approach for 3D visualization of bulk terminal yard, which includes static 3D models in the yard and the real-time reconstruction model of stockpile; then, designs the data structure to describe digital stockpile formed with a hierarchy relationship between surfaces, sections and space points, and also proposed an algorithm for searching and updating the old section. Finally, the result of an ore transshipment bulk terminal 3D visualization gives a friendly human-computer interaction interface to visualize decision data, and also validate the feasibility of 3D visualization technology proposed in this paper.
