Abstract :
Batch Loading Control Systems (BLCS) are widely used in oil depot for preset quantity loading control of refined oil. The on-line batch loading process monitoring for fault detection and isolation, FDI, is an increasing important task, as a result of the growing demand for higher performance, efficiency, reliability and safety in BLCS. In order to meet the requirements of real-time fault detection and accurate fault isolation, this paper presents a hybrid FDI method. The particular feature of the hybrid FDI method for BLCS is using the batch loading flow rate sequence and actuator control signal to establish the two models--quantitative statistical model and qualitative trend analysis (QTA) model, which are separately used in detecting and isolating the main failures in sensors, actuators, and processes. The experimental results conducted using an induced fault show the validity of the proposed method.
