An improved threshold-based version storage model is proposed to solve the version storage problem in rapid response collaborative design in network environment. Directed acyclic polychromatic graph is adopted to express version management model, the threshold calculation formula of node in graph model and critical threshold estimation formula of node storage are given, and the process of algorithm and strategies for further improvement are analyzed. Experiments have proved that the model can effectively solve the problem of merged version model storage, improve the version storage efficiency of collaborative design of complex products and reduce the version searching time.
