Abstract
Packets have been increased continually with the development of network technology. A lot of methods have been given to improve the forwarding rate of the packets in the process of sending. And VOQ (Virtual Output Queuing) mode is belongs to one of these methods. The buffer queue has been established based on each output port which can solve this problem better about the throughput at the router. However, the problem have been existed that the VOQ mode solve the packets´ sending process, and the problem have brought about the input queue delay. The main reason that if the VOQ mode has bee used, it needs to establish the whole transmission system. In this paper, the VOQ mode has been improved based on the reason that there is an uncertainty about the queue waiting probability and average queue length, and this improved method is called NOQ (New Output Queuing) mode. Use this NOQ mode, Packets have been sent quickly at each input port according to the different condition with the queue structure, which can effectively reduce the congestion in queue head.
