Abstract
Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks need to improve when applied to the specific environment. According to the actual situation of underground mine this paper brings forward an improved GEAR routing protocol, called GEAR-R. We apply it to a hybrid network model with mobile sink. Simulation analysis shows that the improved protocol can significantly reduce the energy consumption of mobile sink.
