The karst collapse is the main geologic disaster in the overcast type karst development area which ruined land, polluted the water resource, destroyed the living environment of human beings and also been harmful to the sustainable development of the economic. Via to analysis the anomalies features of the karst collapse from the geophysical exploration of Jiangshan city by the transient electromagnetic method and seismic image to set up series of geophysical exploration abnormal explanation and deduce symbols for instructing explanation on the physical geography field. It´s found that the apparent resistivity curve of karst area present closed low resistance anomalies in transient electromagnetic method. Multiple channel voltage curves behave high voltage anomalies, the curve sunken at the shallow section is in “V”-shaped and arch at the bottom presents inverted “V”-shaped. In seismic image, scattering waves of the karst area and dispersion curve of surface wave is in “Z”-shaped. Combined with the geological results and the drilling test of the typical geophysical exploration abnormality, 408 karst caves were predicted in the study area. And 29 drillings was set up for validating the karsts, 18 caves were found. The success ratio is 62%.
