  • Abstract
    Power flow transfer is one of main causes of cascading failures. It is important to evaluate power flow transfer phenomenon from the perspective of cascading failure. The authors propose a set of evaluation indexes based on the structure and operating features of the power networks and the consequence of power flow transfer. On this basis, the authors propose a comprehensive evaluation method which is based on variation coefficient method to evaluate power flow transfer phenomenon comprehensively and systematically. And an example in IEEE4 system proves that the evaluation method is reasonable.
