Abstract
A microchip for bio sensor use in the field of Point of Care Testing has been produced. The chip will be used in a biosensor system with an integrated bilayer lipid membrane being attached to an electrode on the chip. Ligand gated ion channels incorporated into the membrane provide the biological recognition.
