Abstract :
Infrared wavelength conversion via quadratic optical nonlinearities in AlGaAs waveguiding devices will be presented. We demonstrate quasi phase matching in periodically-inverted AlGaAs waveguides and birefringent phase matching in high-index-contrast AlGaAs/Alox waveguides.
