Abstract :
A high sensitivity liquid refraction index fiberoptic sensor based on a multimode air-gap long period fiber grating is experimentally demonstrated with the sensitivity of 1063.737 nm and 702.032 nm per unit index for the sugar-solution and the salt-solution respectively.
