Abstract :
A bi-directional hybrid C+L band EDFA/RFA is proposed using single-wavelength pump laser at 1495nm. The hybrid amplifier is applied in a 50km, 10Gb/s-WDM PON with optimally dispersion-managed and gain-equalized 16 C+L band channels.
