Abstract :
800-kHz repetition rate mode-locked pulses are demonstrated in an all-normal-dispersion ytterbium-doped fiber laser using nonlinear polarization evolution. Over 30-nm spectral bandwidth and 10-ns pulsewidth are obtained, that can be further amplified to generate high-energy pulses.
