  • Abstract
    To keep up with present increasing traffic trends, demonstration of 1-Pbps/fiber transmission within this decade seems indispensable. Considering wavelength channels and optical fiber cores as capacity multipliers, some possible scenarios for 1-Pbps realization were discussed.
